On my work computer it’s a rotation of pretty car pictures I never see because I only have one monitor and I work in a bunch of maximized windows. Here’s what was showing when I brought up the desktop just now.

That reminds me, I need to ask for a second monitor.

Yeah, I’ve been too lazy to change the default. Normally I just do plain black, which works for me (also dates back to the days when spending ~5MB of memory on a background on a machine that only had 32MBs was a really dumb idea, not such an issue today).
